  • Open Water Diver | Volcano bubbles

PADI Open Water Diver Get Certified Description During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba. Most people find it a rewarding challenge. The PADI Open Water Diver course includes three parts: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. You’ll enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives. To complete training you practice, apply and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives at a local dive site. Earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification shows that you met the course requirements. Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before they will rent scuba equipment, fill scuba cylinders or book dive excursions. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you’ll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It’s just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures. Academic The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore! You may be able to get college credit for the Open Water Diver course. Short on time? The PADI Scuba Diver course might be right for you. Equipment In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. • Home | Volcano Bubbles Diving School

Hey! I am Michalis! Welcome to Volcano Bubbles diving school website. The name "Volcano Bubbles Diving School" incorporates everything that we represent. Bubbles is what scuba divers produce underwater, but Nisyros is an active Volcano which also produces gasses coming from the heart of the earth, providing nutrients for the aquatic organisms and gives us the opportunity to enjoy and observe this amazing process. We call ourselves diving school because i enjoy teaching as much as diving for fun and i always focus on teaching safe diving practices. Nisyros is one of a few locations in the world that you can visit an active volcano underwater but also walk inside the crater on land. According to ancient Greek mythology Nisyros was created by Poseidon, the god of the sea, as he cut a piece of Kos and threw it on the giant Polyvotes. It would only make sense that an island that was created by the god of the sea himself to be a good diving destination. Nisyros has crystal clear water up to 40 meters visibility at some places, underwater volcanoes and large biodiversity. It has a little bit of everything. We are a small diving school, we have small groups so that we can focus on individual needs of every student. You can have your first experience with us, get your first diving licence or even progress to become a professional diver (Dive master). If you are already certified you can explore the secrets of a volcano island never seen before! We offer a wide range of diving experiences including UV light-night dives, and underwater scooters. Since we opened we continue to explore and we are still finding some new amazing dive sites. In 2023 we became the first PADI ECO CENTER in Greece. We are actively engaging with the local community and encouraging conservation and protection of the sea, as we are members of the local non profit organisation "Nisyrio" with which we organise underwater cleanup dives and curently we are exploring the possibility to create/ restore underwater habitats by reproducing sponges. I created a small NFT collection that you can buy to support our environmental actions. Make sure to watch our videos follow us on our social networks and dont hesitate to ask any questions.
